Sometimes I see a picture and it immediately speaks to me.
This is one example, browsing through old art magazines whether or not to keep them longer around, the face of a young woman painted by Jian Wang jumped into my head.
Sometimes that is all, but this time I challenged me to find my own lines in the painting, my shapes, my forms. So I started drawing on it, then painting on it.
It is small, just 5x5 inch.
Should anybody with legal expertise read this:
Is this legal use of someone else's artwork?
Is it modified enough to be accepted as new independent work?
